Where will you go after you die?
The answer to that question is found in the person of Jesus Christ. The Bible says in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
The simple truth is that God loves you so much that He became a man so that He could die in your place. Now the question is, why would God have to die for you? The answer is again found in the Bible. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" which simply means that nobody is perfect.
Romans 6:23a says, "For the wages of sin is death" which is simply telling you and me that we have a problem. Because of our sinfulness, or imperfections, we fall short of what it takes to get into Heaven, and we are separated from God. In other words, there is no way we can get to Heaven on our own! For this reason, God became man (Jesus Christ) and completely paid for our sins when He died on the cross. Three days later, He rose again from the dead to prove that He was God, and made the way for us to have eternal life.
Romans 6:23b says, "but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ".Through His death and resurrection, Jesus has purchased eternal life for you. Whether or not you spend eternity in Heaven depends on whether or not you will confess to God that you are a sinner, and accept God's free gift of salvation.
Romans 10:13 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Simply put, if you will personally ask Jesus Christ to save you and give you His gift of eternal life, He will!
If Christ is knocking on the door of your heart, will you answer it today?
